Two men have been charged related to a suitcase robbery where a believed to be capsaicin spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and charges for deploying a toxic agent, according to official statements.

The charges follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their suitcases taken after getting out of a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.

A toddler was caught up in the incident in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

This event – described by police as was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
