Heavy Precipitation Worsen Situation for Displaced Gazans, Agencies Warn
Persistent precipitation over the recent period have intensified the extremely difficult living conditions of the vast number of evacuated residents in the territory, as stated by humanitarian groups.
"Horrendous" Night Brings Grave Risks
A official described the recent storm as "horrendous", with downpours so heavy that around 15cm (6in) of water gathered on the streets.
"The recent weather was truly terrible for the families. The storms were so strong... And the winds were so forceful," stated the representative.
Authorities voice significant anxiety that minors living in tents in damp clothing will succumb to hypothermia and other ailments.
Casualties and Widespread Damage
The health ministry have stated that one baby has passed away from exposure and no fewer than 11 other people have lost their lives in roof cave-ins due to the storms.
Other reports put a higher number of casualties. Officials reported that multiple homes had totally fallen and dozens had sustained partial collapse.

Aid Distribution Considered Not Enough
Organizations have escalated shipments of tarpaulins, bedding and clothes after the ceasefire started, but they have said there is still not enough aid entering.
"Agencies are working relentlessly to bring in that relief and to hand it out, but the magnitude of the necessities is so vast that we continue to see a great number of families and children who are truly suffering nightly," stated one spokesperson.
Long-Term Issues and Agreement Terms
The second phase of the agreement encompasses arrangements for the reconstruction of Gaza, along with post-war governance, the withdrawal of military forces, and other terms.
Aid groups have highlighted the need for "increased and sustained relief to address urgent and long-term needs."
The conflict was sparked by an attack in the autumn of 2023. Following campaigns have resulted in a high number of casualties in the area, as per medical data.
